Join an Ongoing Weekly Zoom Class focusing on Barry Harris’ Harmonic & Improvisational Method
All classes are taught by Howard Rees. All instrumentalists & vocalists are welcome.
Beginners level prerequisites are a basic understanding of and ability to perform: chord symbols, chords on a major scale, major and dominant 7th scales.
Int/Adv level prerequisites are: the ability to play and improvise on at least 6 jazz standards; a working/playing knowledge of Barry’s 4 scales for chording; and of the “extra-note” rules for a dominant 7th scale. OR permission from Howard.
Class times are:
- Saturdays from 10am – 12pm EST, (intermediate to advanced)
- Sundays from 10am – 12pm EST, (beginners to this methodology)
- Registration is necessary
